Long Distance Tea For Two

I'm a truly horrible friend.

My BFF has not received her Christmas gift yet.

Do you know why, because I'm still putting it together.

Christmas Fail.

This weekend I did a little crafting just for her.  I saw this project on Etcetorize and I've been more than a little bit obsessed with the idea ever since!  I followed her idea exactly except I used a stamp that I bought while on vacation with the very girl these are going to.  Also I used hot glue to set the pieces of paper together because I'm straight up out of Mod Podge.

Its a tragedy!

I thought this stamp was apropriate for best friends that live a thousand miles apart.

How much sweeter it is to see a happy little message staring at you instead of a company logo.

I hope she will enjoy them.

I made a set for myself so we can have long distance tea.

  1. Those are so cute! and so thoughtful. I do love that stamp, and the way you used it is so adorable!

I have a confession. My gift to you this year was going to be all home made stuff. Like grape jam with grapes from my garden. And real vanilla extract.

So I made the grape jam. And after HOURS of cooking and even more hours of prep, I ended up with SIX jars of grape sauce. Sauce, not jam. What does one do with grape sauce? It surely makes for a runny PB&J, and while it is tasty on top of a bagel with cream cheese, it is not giftable.

Wahh! So I've rethought my gift and come up with a budget to be able to save some of my money from doing taxes to put towards getting one of us to the other this spring/summer.

I know, it's not really a tangible "gift", but I am dying to get you out here for a weekend! And of course, it will make doing taxes each week a bit more bearable, knowing what I will be putting some of it towards!

  4. This is gorgeous and I quite literally want to make some now...but don't have such a gorgeous stamp. Can you imagine a custom message stamp with puns about tea or like your own brand or something. Craftbotic teabags anyone?
